Cool S*#t

Eyewear as a defining statement of style has gained more recognition in the past year than it has in the past 2 decades. Wearing optical frames with fake lenses is not new but the trick (previously used by lawyers and doctors wanting to appear more ‘professional and intellectual’) has well and truly found a click with the cool kids, keen to unleash the nerd within.

In the world of optics, long gone are the minimal (rimless) designs and hard, unfriendly angular shape. The 50’s retro-revival in eyewear is soft, curvaceous, arty, bold and at times, a little bow-tie kind of kooky.

Known for their anti-fashion ways, l.a.Eyeworks boldly went where no other dared to go, and now more than 3 years since pushing the grandpa, geek-chic (call it what you like) look, they continue to lead this trend and push boundaries with their amazing collection of hand-made acetate and super dooper titanium frames, inflicting colour and style like no other.

Think Roy Orbison, Malcolm X and Buddy Holly…. Crossed with RuPaul and Andy Warhol (both whom have featured in l.a.Eyeworks campaigns) and you have a colossal collection brimming with personality and style.
